The interactive discussions on the nature of copyright protection, how to give artists more control to use their rights and also recent law that extended the term of protection in Europe in light of those principles attracted a particular interest Furthermore the session included a presentation by David Uwemedimo. The main message developed in this session can be summarised as: Making the rights available to the artists is as much important as making their work available to public!
